“There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.”🤔

This quote from William Shakespeare’s Hamlet is just as relevant today as it was in the 17th century.

The point is that the event itself is not positive or negative; rather, it is your interpretation of it that is the deciding factor.

The classic example, of course, is the optimist’s and the pessimist’s view of the glass as either half-full or half-empty.

(A physicist, on the other hand, might argue that the glass is completely full, with 50% water and 50% air!)

A more current example is the interpretation of the rise of AI. Some see it as our salvation and a new era of innovation, while others see it as a threat to the end of humanity.

It is the same technology but with two completely different perspectives.

What Shakespeare teaches us is that our interpretation is not a passive reaction to the world, but an active choice

Choosing your perspective is, therefore, one of our most powerful tools.

So, how are you interpreting the challenges and opportunities you are facing right now?

And which perspective will you choose?
