Baking powder. Custard. And a love story. 🧡

The year was 1843 in England.

Chemist Alfred Bird constantly saw his wife abstain from freshly baked bread and custard.

Two things she loved, but couldn’t eat.

Why? She was allergic to both yeast and eggs.

Most people would have accepted it as a fact.

Not Alfred.

He went to his laboratory to find a solution.

👉 She can’t tolerate yeast → so he invents baking powder.

👉 She can’t tolerate eggs → so he creates the first egg-free custard.

Two inventions that changed the kitchen forever.

Born out of care, not market analysis.

💡 Takeaway:

The best ideas are often not born out of the ambition to reach many, but out of the desire to solve a real problem for one person.

And when you solve a problem for one, you can change the lives of millions. 🌍
