🌶️ Chili Pepper, Pain, and Why It’s Important in Sales.

Have you seen the clip where Markoolio eats chili peppers with Chili Klaus? (Click here if you want to see it).

The brave Markoolio sweats, struggles, gasps for air.

But the fact is that chili pepper is not objectively hot. It just feels that way.

Chili pepper contains the substance capsaicin, which triggers our pain and heat receptors. The brain interprets it as a burning sensation even though no temperature increase occurs.

(Birds, on the other hand, lack this property and eat chili completely calmly 🐦🌶️)

So what does this have to do with sales?

Everything.

Because just like with chili, sales are about experience. It’s not about what you know is true about your solution. It’s about how the customer perceives it.

You can have the best solution objectively, with the most logical arguments.

But if the customer doesn’t feel it’s the RIGHT fit, nothing will happen.

Facts convince. But feeling sells.

Here you can read more about how you can create value for your customers.
